✨ What is Low-Coding, No-Coding, or... Vibe-Coding?

Spoiler: You don’t need to “learn to code” to start building cool stuff on the internet.

🛋️ Ever wanted to build a web app or create a digital product?

📙 Maybe it’s a journal app that knows your mood.
💸 A landing page for your side hustle.
💹 Or a dashboard that auto-emails your mum when you forget her birthday.
(👀 Not judging.)

The only problem?
You’ve tried multiple tools and products, see {someFunction(thing)} or black terminal screen with a flashing cursor, and immediately back out 🥴.

We’ll thats the feeling a lot of us have, those that want to build, but found that coding just isn’t for you. And thats okay, and now its even more okay 👌 , as its possible to build app and create digital idea 💡 without a degree in the art of coding. But how?

🤔 So… What’s “Low-Code” or “No-Code”?

Essentially its building applications for websites, webapps or mobile apps using simplified tools and AI rather than traditional coding with scripts 👩‍💻 .

👉️ No-Code = Building apps, websites, and workflows using drag-and-drop tools
Think: LEGO blocks for grown-ups with startup dreams.

👉️ Low-Code = You might copy-paste a snippet, maybe tweak a formula or two. Great if you’ve dabbled in HTML or think in spreadsheets.

👉️ Vibe-Code = A new term for creative builders who flow between tools, prompts, and good energy. Using AI to build the code for your application

Personally I see all these in the same box 🎁 , a way to build and make digital apps without coding knowledge 👍️ and thats what excites me about the future.

🛠️ Tools You Might Use

If your going to start coding without coding, then here is a selection of apps and tools to help you get started.

  • Lovable.dev
One of the most popular and gaining traction fast, my personal favourite, it creates stunning landing pages or apps with AI, and has simplified integrations for front and backend support.

  • Bolt
Similar to Lovable.dev A creative playground for building apps with AI

  • Firebase

Googles Al assisted app generation tool, simple and elegant with easy Gemini integrations.

  • V0.dev by Vercel
You describe what you want. It spits out beautiful, production-ready React code and is known for producing good UI.

  • Replit
A cloud coding playground for the curious. Write, run, and deploy code right in your browser. Replit’s Ghostwriter AI can help you write code even if you don’t know how. It’s like pair programming with a patient robot.

  • Framer
Your design instincts meet web creation. Build sites that feel like they were handcrafted by a dev-designer duo — all without touching code.

  • Glide
Turn spreadsheets into slick mobile or desktop apps. If you’ve ever made a Google Sheet for fun (we see you), this one’s for you.

  • Softr
Build full-on websites, dashboards, and client portals using Airtable or Google Sheets as your backend. Clean, fast, and manager-friendly.

  • Figma
The holy grail of designing without code. Figma lets you create beautiful UIs, wireframes, prototypes, and moodboards — all in the browser. It’s like Photoshop, if Photoshop was built by a minimalist who loves startups.

  • Make & Zapier
Automate your life like you’ve got 10 assistants. Perfect for setting up "if this, then that" flows between all your favorite tools.

  • Notion + Airtable
They’re not just for organizing your thoughts — they’re backend powerhouses for your no-code empire.

  • ChatGPT
Yep, I use it to write, think, design flows, and even build logic. It’s the assistant that never sleeps (or judges your questions).

  • Google Gemini
Google's answer to the AI everything bagel. Ask it to explain code, write content, or generate whole app flows — and it’ll do it with that Google polish. Works seamlessly with Gmail, Docs, and Sheets. It’s basically Google with superpowers.

  • Claude by Anthropic
Claude is like the chill friend who listens before responding. It handles massive chunks of info, writes clean summaries, and helps structure your messy thoughts into buildable ideas. Less chaotic than ChatGPT, more zen than your to-do list

🤷 Why This Matters

The tools have changed.
You no longer need a degree 🤓 in coding to build applictions, whether its for personal use or making business grade enterprise apps, the playing field has expanded, and you can join the ride.

Thats not to say coding is dead 💀 , far from it, using these no-coding tools has its challenges 🗯️ , and understanding the fundamentals will help when things break or issues persist in the applications.

What is clear is we are entering an exciting future where digital ideas can come to life ☘️ and I am looking forward to the next evolution, the AI age.
